Update #2

About 15+ days in now, and the workouts have been pretty good lately.  Diet has been, maybe, 75-80% on track thoughout the time so far.  Couple days of slipping have probably set me back, but, dialed in the protein amount fairly well now, much closer to the appropriate amount of fibre.  Calories have been kept down for the most part as well.  I've been eating steel cut oats and a protein shake mornings now for breakfast, and that's been a good start to the day, and been trying to cut down on the junk like Doritos,  but that still happens more often than it should.  Need to start adding a good 10-20 minutes of running onto the end of my workouts to shed some extra weight / increase cardio.

Day 1

Day 1 of the new workout program and diet.  Been spending some time getting used to it, trying to see if I can eat the appropriate amount of protein it calls for relatively easily (hint: I cannot), and just generally easing into the whole thing.  It's probably time for me to stop pussyfooting around however and actually dive in 100%.  So here is the day 1 picture.  Maybe I'll put up stuff every week or every other week or something, but I'd like to keep track of my progress here.
